SOFIA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION was founded as non-profit organization with the decision 348
of the Sofia Municipal Council to work for the sustainable development of the capital.

Working group

By order of the Mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, an expert group was set up to develop the Strategy within the framework of a wide consultative process.

Members of the working group are:

  • Prof. Kostadin Kostadinov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Chairman of the Expert Council on Science, Technologies and Innovations at Sofia Municipality
  • Prof. Georgi Raychevski, member of the Expert Council on Science, Technologies and Innovations at Sofia Municipality, GIS – Transfer Centre
  • Prof. Roumen Nikolov, member of the Expert Council on Science, Technologies and Innovations at Sofia Municipality
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evgeni Evgeniev, expert at the World Bank, lecturer at the Higher School of Insurance and Finance (HSIF)
  • Dr. Todor Chobanov, Deputy Mayor for Culture, Education, Sport and Prevention of Addictions, Sofia Municipality
  • Lyubomir Hristov, Deputy Mayor for Transport and Transport Communications, Sofia Municipality
  • Irina Yordanova, Chairperson of the European Issues Standing Committee, Sofia Municipal Council
  • Svetlana Lomeva, Director, Sofia Development Association
  • Sevdalina Voynova, Programme Director, Sofia Development Association
  • Denitza Lozanova, Programme Director, Sofia Development Association
  • Rada Nikolaeva, European Programmes and Projects Directorate, Sofia
