UMN project mutual learning exchanges launched

UMN_2021-12-01-2.pngThe UnionMigrantNet and Cities Together for Integration project held its mutual learning programme kick-off meeting on December 1st, 2021, in Liege, Belgium. The hybrid event brought together the partners: the European Trade Union Confederation and representatives of local governments – some in-person, some online. Among the event participants were Ludovic Voet, ETUC Confederal Secretary; Magdalena Jagiello, Head of Unit, Legal Pathways and Integration, DG Migration and Home Affairs, EC; Willy Demeyer, Мayor of Liège.

The focus of the meeting was the upcoming exchange between the mutual learning project programme. Sofia will be exchanging experiences and practices with the city of Liege, Belgium. In March 2022 experts from Sofia will visit Liege, while Liege delegation will visit our capital in May or June 2022. Atanaska Todorova, CITUB, and SDA representatives, presented the project work implemented in Sofia so far in the field of labour integration of migrants.

The other exchange participants include Ljubljana and Milan, Athens and Pordenone.

The UMN project is co-funded by the European Union’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.
